We celebrate the life of Ruby Meade of Radford, who lived an inspirational life dedicated to education and passed away March 3, 2021. We honor Ruby as one of the founding volunteers and leaders of Literacy Volunteers of the NRV, which was established in 1979 by Pearisburg Public Library and was quickly embraced by all the public libraries throughout the NRV. Pictured here is Ruby as a tutor trainer for LVNRV in the mid 1980's. Thank you so very much to Ruby Meade for making a lasting impact on our community through all her hard work to help change lives through education!
